I am myself; I am just he.

I ask only to be accepted alone for me.

I’ll do my best to please you true,

For all I want is to be with you.

Forgive my faults as I will forgive yours,

For all living beings, of need, have flaws.

Accept me please for who I be,

Then forever I’ll walk beside your knee.

Love me please, for I need to belong,

As an individual; not alone in the throng.

When you honour me simply, as I honour you,

The road we travel will ever be true.

I will lay down my life, if needs ever be.
